INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
ON THE NIGERIAN COMMODITIES MARKET
2020

In addressing the challenges of the Nigeria Commodities Market, the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria (The Commission), had identified in the Nigeria Capital Market Master Plan (2015-2025), the need for a thriving commodities trading ecosystem as an initiative for improving the competitiveness and attractiveness of the capital market and to aid contribution to the national economy.

In actualization of the Capital Market Master Plan initiative and in alignment with policy thrust of the Federal Government, the Commodities Trading Ecosystem Roadmap (the Roadmap) was developed.

As crucial part of the implementing the Roadmap, the Commission, in collaboration with key stakeholders is organizing an International Conference theme: “Commodities Trading Ecosystem: Key to diversifying the Nigerian Economy” The Conference is intended to provide a forum for regulators, stakeholders and subject experts to discuss, exchange ideas, share experience and collaborate on areas that will showcase the abundant opportunities and unlock the economic potential in the Nigerian Commodities space.
